The last rites of the 18 year old Shamila Ravishan Perera who was killed in the shoot-out in Weliweriya recently, will be held today (7) evening at the Weliweriya Roman Catholic cemetery.

The Weliweriya town and the surrounding villages are clad in white, and the area remains calm under heavy police protection.

The corpus is currently placed at Shamila's residence, and his parents are shocked with this sudden departure of their son who lived with them for 18 years.

Hundreds have come to his place during the last few days to pay their last respect.
