SL group arrested while trying to flee to Australia

Indian media reports say that 48 Sri Lankans along with an Indian who were trying to sail to Australia illegally has been arrested by the Chennai police.

The Indian national had posed as a travel agent of this group.

It is said that this group includes 35 males 6 females and 13 children.

They have been arrested while staying at a pilgrim center in Welakanni.



Indian media reports that this is the 3rd group who were arrested while trying to illegally travel to Australia within 3 months.

They have come from various refugee camps in India.
