Dayasiri Jayasekera, m.p. who leaves UNP and joins the government addressed the media a short while ago and said that he would be changing his Party after making a statement in parliament this afternoon, and thus announced his decision.
What he told about his decision to the media was that he hopes to compete for the position of Chief Minister of the North West district with the intention of serving the public by resigning from his present position of member of parliament.
He says that he would not leave the Party and that though he has the opportunity of securing a ministerial post in the government and carry on his duties in the future, he would not do so and that he would leave the voting aspect with the leader; that he would not be a traitor but would try to find the preference of the public. He also says that he would maintain the respect of the UNP as he has done so far; that he does not want to tar the image of the UNP by this decision.

in midst of public for first time
William and Kate appeared before the public together with the new-born baby of Britain who is heir to the crown, for the first time. They left S.Mary's Hospital where the prince's birth took place after thanking the doctors and members of the staff.
Prince William said with a smile that the baby boy who was 8 pounds and 6 ounces was big in size. He said that what he should now do is select a name.By now, 3 names have been suggested for the prince.
BBC reported that a name from among the names George, James or Alexander would be chosen. Its final decision rests on the parents of the baby, Prince William and Princess Kate.

IT'S A BOY FOR KATE MIDDLETON
Wife of Prince William of Britain delivered a baby boy at 4.25 p.m. British time. It was last morning that she was admitted to S.Mary's Hospital in London.
According to royal family tradition, an announcement broadcasting that Princess Kate was admitted to hospital was displayed on the notice board erected in front of Buckingham Palace which was hung there while the public rocked round the palace awaiting news of the birth of the baby. As such, it was later announced that she had delivered a baby boy.
In the process, according to tradition, a crier stood in front of Buckingham Palace and read out a communication which declared that it was son who was born.
No name has still been given to Kate's first offspring who was born as the third in the waiting list claiming heir to the British crown.
It was reported that throughout the period Kate was in hospital, Prince William and the relations had remained there. It was also reported that a large group of Papparazi media of England was seen around the hospital and that they were counting their fingers from dawn anticipating as to what time the baby would be born.

As revealed by police statistics, the number of twilight women taken into custody in raids conducted by police during the past 10 years is over 20,000. This does not mean that the number of prostitutes in this country is 20,000. It could be that a single prostitute may have been taken into custody four or five times or even more during this period and may be thus recorded in these statistics.
